I purchased the refurbished Dell Latitude E6440 laptop to replace a dying home computer. We received the laptop on schedule & well wrapped. Included was the laptop, charger cable, and a sheet of paper with setup & support instructions. The laptop itself works great and looks new. The battery &/or charger are not functioning as expected (I think the battery is bad, but not entirely sure without some troubleshooting). I called the support # included on the setup page for assistance. The guy that answered the phone did so in a casual/nonprofessional manner…almost like it was his personal #. Once he realized the purpose of the call, he was very helpful. He looked up my purchase, confirmed the item ordered, and indicated he would ship me a battery, charger cable, and a return label; I was to return unneeded parts once my issue was resolved. The package arrived on schedule but only contained the battery, which ended up not even fitting my laptop! I’ve tried repeatedly to call back in hopes of resolving the issue (approx 5 times in the past 3 days, all at varying times of day)… no answer on the phone & no voice mail option. I’ve emailed the provide address but don’t have much hopes of a response. At this point, my next option is to return the item completely. Not ideal considering the laptop itself is great and i’ve already got it setup for my family, but i can’t keep a laptop that won’t work unless it remains plugged in. So disappointed in the support.
